Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners rave about the freshness and quality of the seafood, consistently noting that every dish tastes like it's straight from the ocean. The Lobster Platter garners particularly high praise, often described as stunning.

Garlic mushrooms also make a stellar appearance on many tables, leaving customers longing for more. Portion sizes receive accolades, as many meals cater to hearty appetites without skimping on flavor. Lastly, the friendly service is often highlighted as a reason for repeat visits, fostering a sense of community in the dining space.

Most Disliked

Some visitors note that the restaurant can become quite busy, especially on weekends during peak times, leading to a wait for a table. While this reflects its popularity, it can detract from the overall experience for those looking for a quiet meal.

Additionally, the lack of extensive vegetarian options can be a concern for non-seafood eaters, though there are still some dishes available. Occasionally, diners mention that during peak hours, service can slow down, but the staff’s friendliness often compensates for this.

Outstanding food and excellent service at a great price. I had the Fish Soup and the Dover Sole my fist visit. Soup was good, the sole was outstanding. Next visit I got the Seafood Chowder and the Trio of a small Sole, a Sea Bass filet and a Mackerel filet. All were well prepared. I want to go back already!

This Hidden Gem is the place to go if you enjoy Seafood! The portion sizes are excellent and they have a Vast range of options to choose from! This is more than Fish and Chips, this is a top notch restaurant for lovers of all types of seafood! The Prawn cocktail was delicious, and The Large Haddock and chips with Garden peas were outstanding and exactly as it said on the menu, Large! I would definitely come back here again next time I am in Plymouth, it has to be one of the best places to eat in the Barbican! Perfect for a good quality sizable meal before a night out on the town or as a trip in it's own. Don't miss your chance to eat here if you are ever in town!
